We are excited to be offering for sale this two owner (same family), numbers matching, original color optioned (white over red), rust free, 1958 MG MGA Roadster, believed to have its original 33,500 miles since new. This car simply has more presence, sportiness, and eyeball than any other original or restored MGA we have owned or have seen in years past.
The paint and body are in great shape. The panel fit is good and the paint is deep and consistent throughout, showing only the most minimal of imperfections that won’t show up in photographs. Please note that due to the lighting while photographing the car, the paint appears to be more of an off white than it actually is. The paint is much sharper in person, contrasting the beautiful red interior quite nicely. The chrome on the car is excellent, as are the original wheels, tires, rubber, glass, etc. The original soft top (black canvas) is included with the purchase. The cars interior is very nice. The correct seats are free of wear or deterioration. The dash, door panels, carpets, and interior trim are all very presentable and well sorted.
The cars mechanical condition is excellent. It pulls strongly through all 4 gears without grinding, and has even compression through each cylinder. It has no problem starting right up without blowing smoke and maintaining a very even idle at with the car running warm or cold. Needless to say, this is a gorgeous MGA example that deserves your close consideration.
