Offered for sale is an exquisite 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MK III BJ8. This is a numbers matching, rust free, original example of Healey’s big roadster finished in gorgeous Healey Blue with Navy coves. Based on professional opinion, previous ownership, and thorough inspection of the key indicators (brakes, pedal pads, buildup on engine components, etc.) that determine true mileage on a car of this vintage, it has been determined that this is a true 25,400 original mile survivor. But don’t take our word for it – we’d be happy to assist in facilitating any professional inspections of this Healey to verify the mileage and overall condition of the vehicle.
Simply put, the paint is show quality. The body is perfectly straight and everything fits correctly. Its finish is flawless. The chrome is perfect including the factory luggage rack. The car was optioned with the rare 72 spoke chrome wire wheels, which too are perfect. The tires are new. The soft top is new and correct. The interior is equally as clean. The wood is original (consistent with the mileage) and exhibits a perfect factory finish. The navy blue seats and door panels are excellent, the dash is excellent, and the carpets are excellent. The photographs are a very accurate representation of the cars immaculate condition.
The mechanicals are fantastic. The car fires right up without hesitation or smoke. The engine has excellent compression. All the horsepower is there. The transmission is tight and smooth.
