This wonderfully original W113 is absolutely stunning. Its previous owners have both been Mercedes enthusiasts through and through and have shown great care in maintaining the car, both mechanically and aesthetically. The car was originally purchased through the Mercedes European delivery program and has remained in the United States ever since, being looked after by a successful physician and further by his wealthy businessman/collector patient.
The car is finished in its factory correct Medium Blue (DB 350) over a navy interior with a correct navy German canvas soft top. The paint is deep and lustrous, showing only the most minor of imperfections. The body is very straight and tight, the original chrome nearly flawless and the soft top is in good condition with a crystal clear plastic window. The exterior remains in exceptional condition due to routine detailing appointments and perpetual garage storage. The interior is immaculate. The seats, door panels, and dash are excellent, free of any fading, warping, cracking, tears, creases, etc. The German square weave carpet is in superb condition and the wood is in great shape. The interior is complete, including its original functioning Becker Europa Radio.
This car is a joy to drive and has been well cared for mechanically over its lifetime. It has always undergone regular and preventative maintenance and comes with a stack of service records and receipts. The car starts right up without smoke or hesitation and idles smoothly. The compression is excellent, pulling powerfully through each of its 4 gears without any grinding or other issues. I am more than happy to take the car to any shop or professional of your choice in my area for mechanical and cosmetic inspection. This car has been a dream for me to drive on sunny weekends, nary an outing passing without people snapping photographs and giving me a big smile and a wave.
