Offered for sale is an incredibly solid and original, numbers matching, 1969 Porsche 912 long wheel base with its original California black plates. This is a well maintained and complete Porsche that has spent its entire life in California, being kept free from harsh weather and unfavorable conditions.
The body of the car is very straight and solid. The undercarriage is fantastic. It has all original pans, with no indication of rust. This is an extremely dry car. The Polo Red paint is an older job that shows imperfections but still presents itself well. The chrome steel wheels are excellent and the tires have plenty of remaining tread. The fog lights were not in the best condition and the passenger side fog light had a small crack so I had them removed. A newer set can be included with the car. The interior is in great shape. The dash is free of cracking or warping. The original seats are very good showing only the most minimal of wear. The interior is completed by its original AM/FM Blaupunkt Radio.
This 912 has been a very dependable driver. It always starts right up and does not smoke. The compression is very good and the suspension feels tight. Its manual gearbox pulls strongly through the gears without grinding. It will come with a file that includes service records and documentation. This is a great 69’ Porsche that is becoming more and more difficult to find in such a dry and original condition.
