We are proudly offering for sale this spectacular 1973.5 Porsche 911T 2.4L CIS targa, all numbers matching (engine #6134340), original blue plate California car, finished in its factory original and Porsche special order Rose Red, code 024 (Fraise/Raspberry). This same color scheme was used on the 1974 IROC Porsche team racecar. This Porsche is very rare, very unique, and exceedingly difficult to find another correct example like it presented in this condition with this level of documented originality.
The body on the car is excellent. The panels align as they should, with excellent factory gaps and door fit. The paint quality is deep and lustrous and nearly unblemished. All four original polished Fuchs wheels are in impeccable condition and wrapped in nearly new Pirelli tires. The targa top is excellent and fits correctly. The interior condition is no different. The correct Porsche seats present as new. The dash is free of warping or cracking of any kind. The original steering wheel is flawless. The door pockets are completely intact and show only negligible wear. The car is also optioned with a factory AC system and a period correct radio.
We have enjoyed driving and showing this wonderful CIS Porsche in a number of touring events and shows. The car has always performed dependably, pulling strongly through each of its five gears without hesitation or resistance. The compression is excellent and even across all six cylinders. The car will come complete with its original owners manual and a service, maintenance, and repair file. This is a 911T well suited for any Porsche collection or private enthusiast. Its original Rose Red paint option has spectacular history and provenance and will not fail to draw the right kind of attention at shows or a weekend drive down Main Street.
