    Description

Offered for sale is a spectacular 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II finished in perpetually sophisticated Maroon over a Tan Connolly hide interior. This 63k original mile Wraith II is beautiful, the timelessly elegant design equal parts vintage and modern and the condition consummate to any low mileage, well cared for example. Always a California car, it was purchased new by a doctor in San Francisco and subsequently sold to his associate in Sacramento in the mid 1990s. The second owner passed away a couple years ago, leaving the car to his widow who subsequently sold it to us. Each of the owners always looked after the car with exceptional care: it was always garaged, never used in weather and maintained by professionals.

The car is aesthetically superb. The paint is in good condition, retaining depth and luster and marred only by exceedingly small imperfections, none of which appear in any of the photographs. The original landau roof is in great original condition, the car appears accident free and the glass, rubber and brightwork are in excellent original shape. The interior is in equally strong original condition. The original burl walnut wood is in fantastic shape, with very few imperfections (rare for these cars, as they’re often prone to a myriad of chips and cracks in the finish and veneer). The thick tan Connolly hide seats are exceptional, showing only minor patina, and the original carpets and headliner are in excellent condition. Due to the car’s low mileage and outstanding service history, all the interior features appear to be working as they should, including the air conditioning (which blows cold), the power windows, the original radio and even the 8-Track player in the glove box, which comes with a good selection of period cartridges.

The car’s undercarriage is in dry, original California car condition, the wheels are wrapped in tires with plenty of remaining tread and the trunk is presentable and stocked with complete workshop manuals and a tool kit. With $10,000 in recent repair bills, the car starts effortlessly and pulls with the smooth ease that Rolls-Royce is famous for. It’s a joy to drive, whether tooling through town or floating down the highway, and the 6.75L engine truly gets up and goes when asked. The transmission shifts smoothly and the car drives and brakes straight with a drive quality that is far more modern that any other 1970s era car that we’ve aware of.

Comparable cars are on the market between $30,000 and $40,000, however in the interest of a quick sale we have ours priced significantly lower. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an honest, timeless classic that has been well looked after and is sure to bring its next owner as much joy as it did its previous two.
