The 911 GTS has center-locking RS Spyder wheels and the same wide-body fenders as the AWD Carrera 4, and its 3.8L flat six engine produces 23 extra horsepower, bringing the total to 408 bhp with 310 ft.-lbs. of torque. In conjunction with the Sport Chrono Package’s launch-control programming and celebrated seven-speed dual clutch PDK transmission, the power plant rockets the car from 0-60 mph in just 4.0 seconds, results verging on neo-supercar status.
The handling is pure Porsche, and the quick shifting and more responsive throttle feel of Sport or Sport Plus mode yields a grin-inducing, visceral ride quality made all the more enjoyable by the throaty roar from the sport exhaust.
