    Description

Offered for sale is a stunning, numbers matching (with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity), rust-free, mechanically strong, beautifully restored 1964 Porsche 356C. Of the dozens of 356s we’ve owned, none has been a finer, more solid example than this gorgeous little C Coupe. The body is completely straight with flawless panels and perfectly consistent gaps and fits throughout. The undercarriage is free of rust or evidence of rust repair, a benefactor of the arid Arizona climate where it has spent a majority of its life. The car was sold to us by a Flagstaff doctor who was paring down his modest collection. He and the previous owners all cared for the car properly, and consequently it is in spectacular condition – as fine a weekend driver as you’ll come across, but not concours enough to keep you from wanting to drive it.

The paint is deep and lustrous and free of any dings, scratches or noticeable imperfections. The glass and rubber are excellent and the chrome is flawless, including the color-crested hubcaps. The doors still open and close with that wonderful Porsche “ping” and the there’s no evidence of any accidents. The interior is equally as clean, with black seats and interior panels that show only negligible wear. The carpets and headliner are also excellent and the car comes with a functioning original Blaupunkt radio. Mechanically the car is extremely strong. It starts easily, idles consistently and pulls strongly and smoothly through each of the four gears. It has excellent compression and drives and brakes straight with a suspension that makes it a joy to tear through the canyons in legendary Porsche fashion.

If you’ve been looking for a truly excellent weekend-driver 356, this car deserves your serious consideration. It has everything going for it – excellent body, rust-free, mechanically sound, wonderful cosmetics and numbers matching. It honestly looks as good in person as it does in the pictures.
